The short version. A Piggie coin is a manufacturer coupon paid as cash. The brand funds it, you collect it by buying the product, and Piggie delivers it to you. Piggie is not a bank and your balance is not a deposit. One collect per coin, real purchases only.
1. Who we are
Piggie is operated by Piggie LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Piggie", "we", "us"). These Terms govern the Piggie app, the piggietap.com website, Piggie coin stickers, and every coupon delivered through them (together, the "Service"). By tapping a Piggie sticker, installing the app, or collecting a coin, you agree to these Terms.
2. What a Piggie coin is
A Piggie coin is a manufacturer coupon issued by the brand whose product carries the sticker. Its value is set by that brand, is stated in US dollars, and is paid to you in cash rather than as a discount at the register. Piggie is the delivery platform: we present the coupon when you tap, verify the collect, and pay you the coupon value when you cash out. Piggie pays you from its own funds, and the brand pays Piggie back.
Coins are not loyalty points, not a rewards program, not a sweepstakes, and not a currency. A coin has no value until it is collected under these Terms, and it cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for anything other than the cash value shown.
3. How collecting works
- Tap in store to see the offer on that product. Seeing an offer does not collect it.
- Buy the product, then tap the same sticker again away from the shelf to collect the coin at the value shown.
- Each sticker collects once. A sticker that has already been collected, or a product that was not purchased, pays nothing.
- Offers can change or end at any time at the brand's discretion. The value shown at the moment you collect is the value you receive.
- Brand ladders. Each brand runs its own ladder. Coins are punches on that brand's ladder and have no cash value of their own. Fill a row to reach a tier: every coupon you collect from that brand after that pays its face value plus the tier's percent. Your ladder year starts with your first coin from that brand and lasts one year. Your tier stays yours for that year, then the punches reset. A reset never touches cash you have already collected.
4. Verification and fraud
Because every dollar comes from a brand, we protect it. We may ask for a receipt after a number of collects, check the location of a tap against the store, review device signals, and hold, delay, reduce, or reject a collect or cash-out that we reasonably believe is not a genuine purchase. Buying a product, collecting the coin, and returning the product is not a genuine purchase. Tampering with, removing, cloning, or reselling stickers, using multiple devices or accounts to collect the same coin, or otherwise gaming the Service will result in forfeiture of your balance and loss of access.
5. Your balance and cashing out
- Your balance is the total coupon value you have collected and not yet cashed out. It is not a bank account, deposit, or stored-value product, does not earn interest, and is not insured.
- Cash-outs are available once your balance reaches the minimum shown in the app (currently $5) and after you give the email on your PayPal account and confirm you are 18 or older. Newly collected coupons unlock for cash-out after a hold: 10 days while an account is new, 3 days once it has a clean payout history.
- Payouts are sent by PayPal to the email you give, usually within 48 hours of your request. During beta they are sent by hand by the Piggie team. PayPal's terms apply once the payout leaves Piggie. You receive the full coupon value.
- Piggie never asks you for money and never charges shoppers.
- Balances that stay inactive for 12 months, or that belong to an account closed for fraud, may be forfeited to the extent the law allows.
5b. Your account
Piggie starts with an account, created with Apple, Google, or an email and password. Your coins and balance belong to that account, not to a phone, so signing in on another phone brings them with you. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account and everything in it from the app at any time, under Profile.
6. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a US resident to cash out. Younger shoppers may use the app to see offers but cannot collect or be paid. One person, one account.
7. Brands and retailers
Coupons are offered by the brands named on each coin, not by any store. Retailers do not participate in, fund, or redeem Piggie coins, and a Piggie coin does not change the price you pay at the register. Any question about a product itself goes to the brand. Any question about a coin, a collect, or a payout comes to us.
8. Brand accounts
Brands use the Piggie brand portal under a separate signed agreement (a Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work). Where those documents and these Terms differ for a brand, the signed agreement controls. Brands pay Piggie for the coupons shoppers collect, on the billing terms in their agreement.
9. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, interfere with other shoppers, reverse-engineer stickers or the app, scrape the Service, or misrepresent yourself. We may suspend or end access for any breach of these Terms.
10. Beta program
Piggie is in beta. The app, offers, features, and these Terms may change, and the Service may be interrupted or withdrawn. We will honor coins already collected under the Terms in force at the time of collection.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, Piggie disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any amount above the balance in your account at the time of the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing, contact us; most issues are fixed in a day.
